WEAKLING

It's maybe strange but I like rescue the neglected plants. While I was shopping in the supermarket I have met this weakling bonsai tree - Privet - which cried out for help. It was cheap so why not - I decided to try.

After watering the plant alive. The withered leaves were removed.

Next I repot it or rather change the soil.

After repoting.

It will be the long way.

MAME AZALEA - REPOTING

My Mame Azalea became increasingly weaker so I decided to repot it to the bigger pot. Maybe it will help.

The new pot.

The pot with kiryu.

The plant without pot.

And the new home.

INCREDIBLE NERIKOMI - DOROTHY FEIBLEMAN

Nerikomi is an artistic technique for creating ceramic pottery. The name derives from a traditional Japanese technique of creating patterns with colored clay.
Slabs of different clays or clays colored with stains or oxides, are stacked, folded, pressed into logs, sliced, and arranged to form a vessel. In this way, the numerous stacked layers appear as fine undulating lines embedded in a surrounding color in the finished vessel.

MY FIRST FIRING

Finally I've reached my first firing. A friend of mine, the professor of art at the UWM in Olsztyn of whom I am very grateful agreed hug my pots and burn them on the occasion of burning his works. Maybe it's nothing special but I'm glad because those are my first pots. The colour after firing changed and is a little different than I expected but it doesn't matter. It is more red than brown.

LINOCUT - WAY TO DECORATE POTS

Friend of mine gave me an inspiration to use linocut to decorate my pots. If we can print beautifull designs on paper so why not doing this on clay. If you have some dexterity it might be good fun. You will nead some chisel to carv and a lino or a normal but tough rubber. Yes, you can make it useing a rubber like on this blog:

Or here:

And a short film how to do it:

And linocuts:

For example you can creat something like this:
