PIT FIRING OR GRILL FIRING

No it isn't joke. It was my first test with pit firing or rather my variation on the pit firing. I wanted to try what will happen with my ceramic when I use a grill instead a real pit. The time of my test was very short and the temperature was too low so effects are maybe not stunning. But the colour which I got is different than before and lasting. See your self.

Burning.

Before cleaning.

Final product.

TWO CASTLES

Niedzica Castle also known as Dunajec Castle is located in the southernmost part of Poland in Niedzica. It was erected between the years 1320 and 1326 by Kokos of Brezovica on the site of an ancient stronghold surrounded by earthen walls in the Pieniny mountains. The Niedzica Castle stands at an altitude of 566 m, on a hill 300 m upstream from the Dunajec River mouth, measured from the center of the dam on Czorsztyn Lake. The outline of Niedzica Castle can best be viewed from the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle on the other side of the lake. It is known as one of the most picturesque castles in the country and adorns the covers of many books.

HOMOLE GORGE - PART 1

Homole Gorge is protected as the nature reserve called “Wąwóz Homole” - reserve of Jan Wiktor memory 1963. Touristic trail described in geological guides; one of most important site for student education. Important locality proposed for the European GEOSITES Network and Pieniny Geopark.
The Homole Gorge is a classic example of a trench morphology, which originated as the result of uprising, cracking and dividing of calcareous plate into blocks and their irregular subsidence in softy, shale substratum. These processes have determined the unique gorge, which is characterised by threshold-like and narrow bottom and by unusual rocky scenery of its fringe. A large landslide dated at the beginning of the Holocene damming the valley and forming a huge block field is another value of this gorge.

HOLIDAYS IN SZCZAWNICA - RELICT PINE

After driving 650 km or 404 miles (15 hours because of a break for sleep and meal) we have got to Szczawnica for this year summer holidays. I recommend to all of you this place. Amazing mountains views and great atmosphere.

Above the north-eastern part of Pieniny range reigns Sokolica (747 m asl) – a peak overgrown by fir-beech forests, rocky only at the very top, and descending on the southern slopes, preserves ageing several hundred years the relict pine. Their silhouettes, with boughs twisted by wind are symbol of Pieniny.
Here we come to the 500 year old tree that could become a model and inspiration for each bonsai entuziasty. It's an amazing tree - judge yourself.

Isn't it beautifull.
