PRUSSIAN CRONE OR RATHER JAPANESE

Stone statues probably come from the Middle Ages . During the conquest of the Prussian tribes by the Teutonic Order in the thirteenth century, finding similar statues in Prussia .
The statue , which we can admire in Olsztyn come from Barciany.
According to one theory Prussian crone were performed on behalf of the Teutonic Knights. They could also be a reference to the Prussian legends about people being converted into stone statues .
Now, in addition to the Prussian crone from the Olsztyn castle courtyard , we can admire the colorful statues modeled on the medieval or resembling Japanese .
