THE TECHNIQUE OF CREATING MINIATURE BONSAI TREES USING 15 YEARS OLD JUNIPERS

Photos and text from "Bonsai Pasion" magazine (number 44/2009), pages 11-19.

 "The final product"

 15 years old Itoigawa Juniper.

Using a very sharp saw we cut the trunk thickness of at least 3 cm.

 Cut into pices.

We prepare pots with soil (Akadama).

We hit the stump in the ground. We use fine Akadama.

We pressed against the trunk to the ground using a wire.

 Add more Akadama.

We attach the plant using a wire.

We dipping the pot in a water.

When the ground is already wet, remove the pot.

 The soaked pots.

We put the pot into a mini greenhouse.
The temperature remains stable inside.

At the bottom we slept layer of gravel.
Then pour from 1 to 2 cm of water.
Gravel makes that the water does not touch the pots and the humidity is ideal.

The cover is made of a wooden frame and a plastic foil.

We wait patiently until the roots grow.
